This marks the first set of songs from the session for their 6th studio album; below we find the next set-- a real treasure. Lets note them:

I was thinking about just going through the stand-outs from the sessions to this great album; and truthfully it is a great one. Even if I am the only one who thinks this (but I do not think I am); but even so.  I came to the position that even one of these tracks are smashing and outstanding in their own right; but all together, I would say this should be something which makes this one Album possibly the best they ever released.  

But if I had to choose a few-- with the exception of "no body's someone"  and "pity" which both are really important editions to the whole sessions. Let us just consider three:

(1) Melody Fair (Demo / Alternative (2))

(2) Lamplight (Demo/ Alternative (2))

(3)  Sound of love  (Alternative)

Now bringing this all to a close: I do really feel that the consensus on this Album is unjust. It is a beautiful offering and has something for all people. My opinion is clear it stands out as an album that proves itself as something to be reckon with. It is absolutely fantastic.

But putting that issue aside for the moment as it does not really effect the fact that they are solid albums with a nice amount of wonderful songs which would have been great; and still are for us die hard fans. Each album showcases each brother' strengths as songwriters and story tellers which really can be seen even such a tumultuous period.   I can't help but to wonder about what could have been if they patched things up much sooner than they did-- another two or three bee gees Album alongside these.  It is hard to single out which album is the better one as many may try at different points as they are very different; and should stand on their own merits.  Maurice' Album is kind of early swamp style music, if that is a good d...

Brilliant from Birth compilation

 Brilliant from Birth:  Released in 1998, this is a compilation album which covers the Australian days, from 1963-66 which contains songs from their first two albums "sing and play"  and "spicks and specks"  these albums contain 26 songs; 14 on the first and 12 on the later. However,  the thing that makes this compilation stand out is that contains another 12 songs which were meant to be their 3rd Australian album but was put aside because they seeked to try their best to crack the international scene; and cracked it they most certainly did.  Now the most important point that this collection of songs provides us is the rear in sight into seeing group develop both as singers which would be more profound in years to come; but here we see the seed being planted. Bee Gees: singles from '68.

 A classic song-- words:  As far as love songs go-- this is perhaps one of the most moving examples from this early period. And this particularly the case with its soft vocals in the beginning and then its power filled bridge.  The part with the words  "this world has lost it glory..."  If one thing can be said about the brothers they had a glowing apprehension of what a love song should be-- this is evidence of it.  Now for something a little more fun-- an outtake for the next album horizontal which is called deeply, deeply me: This song marks the start of unusual but very wonderful influences on the brother's song-writing and even singing styles. Taking a more eastern vibe (note the fact that a song from 22 years later would have the same echoes).  But this is just brothers experimenting with their writing and their humour as they were known for.
