Bee Gees: singles from '68.

A classic song-- words:  As far as love songs go-- this is perhaps one of the most moving examples from this early period. And this particularly the case with its soft vocals in the beginning and then its power filled bridge.  The part with the words  "this world has lost it glory..."  If one thing can be said about the brothers they had a glowing apprehension of what a love song should be-- this is evidence of it.  Now for something a little more fun-- an outtake for the next album horizontal which is called deeply, deeply me: This song marks the start of unusual but very wonderful influences on the brother's song-writing and even singing styles. Taking a more eastern vibe (note the fact that a song from 22 years later would have the same echoes).  But this is just brothers experimenting with their writing and their humour as they were known for.

Bee Gees singles:

Massachusetts:  And Barker of the UFO:  Now this is the 3rd released single by these talented brothers; and it is a special case as it was there first international number one. While it is true that there is a great tale attached to it as it went no.1 twice-- or at least they were told it had before it had actually done so. But the latter one is a strange but fun little song with a very hard to follow story. Another example of their ability to tell stories in a musical style is "sir Geoffrey saved the world."  But unlike Massachusetts; and very much like the...

Bee gees Albums: First.

Image
FIRST: this is the beginning to what has been a promising career in the music world on the international scene.  Now I have to mention that the album in the picture is not the original one but it is the rhino deluxe edition of this masterful album. As I have said in a prior post, these three brothers were song writing genius' and this Album demonstrates this very fact as it showcases a wide range of gems. Let us note two examples which are not single release (of which we have noted those last month).  1.  Every Christian lion-hearted man will show you. 2. Please read me Why these two?  Well-- upon just listening to them you will agree with me that they are absolute stand-outs alongside the other one that were singles. But to give some context to this: the first one has a church chanting solo part (best to describe it) of "O solo Dominque"  which gives it such a haunting dimension; and at the same time, it also gives it something of unique blend which iden...
