Bee Gees: singles (1970-71)

The year 1970-71  was a good year for the brothers in terms of output of singles: Singles:  Lonely Days (1970)  Singles: Man for all seasons (1970)  This gives us a glimpse into the brother' songwriting abilities just after the reunion-- while still getting back to the point where it could be shown as bonding and strengthening.  It is still only two songs from the forthcoming album (two years on).  In this offering we see that the gel that bonded them as songwriters was still there.  These songs,  we are told were written on the same day as another one which we will turn to in a moment (how can you mend a broken heart)-- but I think that the titles show a progression not just in songwriting but story telling regarding their own biographical account.  Single: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (1971)  Single: country women now (1971) These two songs showcase the versatility of the brothers songwriting as we have one song which owes more to a...
